Adee Rocket Dancy is a cellist, vocalist, music director, and songwriter from Kansas City, Missouri.

She spent most of her life training to become a classical cellist, but was called to popular and creative music-making after finishing a music degree at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance. Adee is inspired by any and all music, and loves to draw from her long list of influences for her own songwriting. From the Indigo Girls, to Janelle Monae, Lady Gaga, Miki P, Allen Stone, PJ Morton, Yo-Yo Ma, Lizzo, Bernhoft, Jacob Collier, Panic! at the Disco, and so many more- her musical style and interest can’t be pinpointed- and she doesn’t try to. Adee believes in making music and art from the heart, and without inhibition or genre boundaries. She wishes to inspire her listeners with uplifting and truthful lyrics, and presenting her words in rich harmony and soulful movement.
